Sid is actually pretty good at taking complex subject and breaking them down into layman’s speech. She was on the debate team.
So, in essence, the Distillae (Distillums?) of history were essentially nuclear physicists who could smash apart atoms with out triggering an explosion, before there was even the concept of the atom bomb which is now considered one of the more basic nuclear reactions? Also, it would make sense that both the negative and positive forces would be bad news in the amounts that would be noticeable to varying degrees while the neutral force is literally just kind of there.
